More Scriptures to Dwell On

If you haven't figured this out yet, it is so important to dwell on God's Word.  No matter what your situation or circumstance, be sure to find Scriptures that speak to your situation!!  His Word will change things.  Below are some more Scriptures that you might find helpful during this time in your life.  I have included Scriptures referencing depression, fear, anxiety, healing and rest.

James 4:7
Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Psalm 30:5
For His anger endureth but a moment; in His favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.

Matthew 11:28-29
Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Matthew 5:4
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.

Isaiah 41:10
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Isaiah 53:5
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.

James 5:14-15
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Name of the Lord: and the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

We must remember that depression is an illness that can be healed.  Praying Scriptures of healing over your life is something that you should do daily--or at least as often as possible.  Have others join with you in prayer.  Sometimes in the midst of depression, healing starts to come, but due to being comfortable, we quit trying to help ourselves out of the depression.  Don't get so used to being "down" that you won't allow yourself to be happy.  Quit speaking negative things over your life such as: "I'm never going to get through this."  "I'm never going to be happy again." or "This depression is killing me."  Start speaking the Word of God over your life.  Speak out loud!  State "I'm more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus."  "Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the World."  "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."  "When I am weak, then I am strong."  Keep claiming victory over your situation and your life.  There is power in the tongue!  Remember that David went through immense times of depression and he cried out to God.  God heard his cries and answered him.  God didn't just take the depression from David the first time he cried out; God did it in His own timing.  God will heal you in His timing.  Keep trusting in Him and know that this too shall pass.  Be ready for a great testimony!!!
