About Me!

I grew up in a small town in western Indiana.  I have parents who are still happily married.  I have four brothers and one sister.  I graduated from high school in 1999 and then attended college.  I graduated from college in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree.  I am currently employed by the State Government as a Social Worker.  I enjoy my job, even though it is extremely stressful!

I have been married for almost 6 years.  My husband and I decided to wait several years before starting a family.  We were both very excited when we found out that I was pregnant.  I had a great pregnancy.  Very little went wrong, and besides my job, it was pretty stress-free.  After my son was born was when everything started changing.  I was very, very sad.  I was full of anxiety and was having panic attacks.  The Lord helped me through all of these issues and is still helping me today.

I returned to work 12 weeks after my son was born.  Because my job is so stressful, it makes things even more difficult.  It's hard enough to deal with a new baby, depression, anxiety, and panic attacks, and then on top of that, to deal with a very stressful job.  I thank God for my job and I continue to ask Him for mercy in dealing with it all.  I have a very supportive husband, so he makes my life easier.  He is a wonderful father who loves his son dearly.  I have attached some photos to show some of our journey to this point!
